Michelle Kniess is an attorney at de Beer & Associates, P.A. and devotes her entire practice to family law. Her practice extends from Minnesota to Wisconsin, and focuses on custody and parenting time, spousal maintenance, child support, and property valuation and division, including business interests. Prior to joining de Beer & Associates, P.A., Michelle practiced as a business litigation attorney in Minneapolis. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse in 2002 and her Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2005. Michelle volunteers as an attorney through the Hennepin County Unbundled Legal Services Project and is a member of the Volunteer Lawyer's Network. While in law school, Michelle served as a student judicial intern for Justice N. Patrick Crooks of the Wisconsin Supreme Court. As a student, she also worked on an appeal of a death penalty conviction.
Michelle is a member of the Hennepin County Bar Association, the Minnesota Bar Association, and the Wisconsin Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in Minnesota, Wisconsin, and the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
In her spare time, Michelle enjoys music, travel, cooking, reading, movies, and spending time with friends and family.
